Dorinda Medley is making it nice.
Despite the “Real Housewives of New York City” star’s ongoing feud with castmate Luann de Lesseps on the Bravo reality show’s current season, Medley said she was “heartbroken” that the Countess was taken into custody for allegedly violating her probation Thursday.
“I was heartbroken and I wish her well,” Medley told Page Six at the SiriusXM offices. “I know it’s a terribly hard journey and we are all rooting for her. I lit a candle for her yesterday.”
The 54-year-old reality star recognized that de Lesseps is at a low point, which reminded her of one of the darkest times in her own life — when her husband, Richard Medley, died in 2011.
“I know she probably can’t believe it now because I will say this, when Richard got terribly sick and died, there is something positive that will come out of that,” Medley continued. “I know it’s darkness before dawn, but there is always is something wonderful, positive thing that will come out of it.”
De Lesseps has been accused in court of not taking her probation seriously after she failed a sobriety test. The cabaret star was ordered not to drink during a 12-month probation period after she was arrested on Christmas Eve 2017 for drunkenly attacking and threatening to kill a police officer.
In response to the allegations that she violated her probation, de Lesseps told Page Six through her rep, “The reports have not been accurate so I’m glad the judge was understanding after being made aware of the facts. I look forward to completing the last couple months of probation and getting this entire situation behind me and moving on with my life.”
