Milton United Football Club submitted a planning application to the Vale of White Horse District Council in February to demolish its changing and function rooms to make way for the new facility.
Vale of White Horse district councillors are now recommended to formally approve £900,000 worth of funding at a cabinet meeting on Friday morning towards the new-build.

A paper from the meeting states: “The club anticipate opening longer hours to cater for more hires and social functions and casual use from the ever growing local population of Milton Heights.”
The new facility will double the changing room capacity “allowing the football club to fully realise the potential of both their second senior football pitch and the two new nine a side junior football pitches”.
It is set to include sporting facilities with a commercial catering standard kitchen, bar and “improved storage” as well as a family and function room.
Disabled access will also be possible throughout the building which has disabled toilet facilities.
Council officers conclude: “Using these funds to create a single replacement building will provide a state of the art facility for a wide range of community and sport uses, as well as accommodating the ever growing needs of the residents of the parish and beyond.”
