Senior Royal Family members including Meghan Markle braved the unsettled weather on Saturday as they rode in open carriages down the Mall for the Queen’s official birthday. Trooping the Colour 2019 was the first royal engagement for the Duchess of Sussex since giving birth last month to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor and she looked elegant in navy. Meghan was also seen flaunting a new third ring on her ring finger as she took part in the Trooping the Colour parade next to husband Prince Harry. The pave-set band sat on the same finger as her engagement and wedding rings – a significant placement.
Could Meghan’s ring be a push present from Prince Harry?
A push present is a gift from a partner usually after the birth of a child and is typically jewellery.
The gift is a popular element of childbirth in the US, and a number of American celebrities have flaunted push presents in recent years.
It is not known whether Meghan’s ring is indeed a push present, or in fact an anniversary present from Prince Harry.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary, so Meghan’s new accessory could be for that occasion.
Meghan and Harry married in a lavish ceremony at St George’s Chapel in the grounds of Windsor Castle on May 19, 2018.
As she waved to the throngs of people lining the Mall on Saturday, The Duchess also wore a navy dress by designer Clare Waight-Keller and a Noel Stewart hat.
Givenchy artistic designer Ms Waight-Keller designed Meghan’s beautiful wedding dress last year.
