Unveiled two months ago, Microsoft’s take on Pokemon GO – Minecraft Earth will be launched at some point this year. Until the game is ready for launch, developers announced players will now be able to sign up for the closed beta, which will begin later this month.
The closed beta will launch for iOS in the next two weeks, while the Android version will be made available at a later date. Of course, since this is a closed beta, a limited number of participants will be accepted, which will allow Microsoft to calibrate its servers for the official launch.
All those who are selected to participate in the closed beta will receive an invitation email to the email address associated with the Microsoft Account or Xbox Live account they have submitted in their registration.
There’s one more requirement that beta testers must absolutely meet in order to play Minecraft Earth from the beginning to the end of the closed beta. According to Microsoft, those who are selected for the closed beta will have to play at least once every 7 days, otherwise, their spots will be given to someone else.
If you haven’t yet signed up for the beta, you can still do that on the Minecraft Earth’s official website. Apart from the chance to be one of the first to play the game, Microsoft also offers a free skin for Minecraft Earth and Minecraft Bedrock to those who sign up for the closed beta.
