Zoink Games’ new title is called Lost in Random and is a “blend of strategy and action that explores the notion of chance and possibility, set within a beautifully dark and vivid world.” Zoink released Fe in 2018 and, in our review, we said “Fe is a lovely platformer with wonderful music, but it fails to do anything interesting with its best ideas.”
Hazelight Studios’ new game wasn’t fully revealed or titled, but the team did promise that it will “give players a fresh new take on the challenges of working together.” Hazelight released A Way Out in 2018 and, in our review, we said “Come for the prison-break bromance, stay for the stomach-punching finale.”
Glowmade will be releasing a co-op Action-RPG called RustHeart that “follows the player and their handmade robot sidekick as they adventure across a vibrant, alien multiverse. Glowmade is creating this as a “compelling mix of tactical action-roleplay gameplay, player invention and spray paint.”
“We continue to connect innovative and creatively distinct new games from the best and boldest independent game makers to a global audience of players.” said Matt Bilbey, EVP Strategic Growth. “We want to offer our players the broadest, highest quality content possible, with the best access possible. Whether you join us to play EA’s biggest franchises like Apex Legends, one of the more than 200 games available from more than 85 content partners in our Origin Access subscription, or for innovative EA Originals titles like A Way Out, we have something compelling to offer.”
EA Originals has also seen the release of Coldwood Studios’ Unravel and the upcoming Sea of Solitude by Jo-Mei Games, which will be launching on July 5, 2019.
EA also discussed how it will continue to support EA Access as it readies its debut on PlayStation 4 next month. There is no mention if these new titles will appear on EA Access, but most new titles have a trial of some sorts for players to try out.
This news arrives on the same day as EA PLAY 2019 which revealed the first gameplay from Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Season 2 Battle Pass info and a new Legend for Apex Legend, new Battlefield V maps and details, and so much more.
