The Environment Agency is warning flooding is possible on the River Thames and tributaries in the Oxford area, including areas between Wolvercote down to and including Radley and Jericho.
There are also alerts on the River Cherwell and its tributaries from Lower Heyford down to Oxford including Rousham, Enslow, Thrupp and Hampton Poyle.
A warning is in place for the River Ray at Islip with flooding of low-lying land, roads and property especially in areas closest to the river in Mill Street.
Residents are being told to move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety and to activate any property flood protection products such as flood barriers.
Property flooding is also expected along the River Thames in the Henley area.
