Everton and Brazil attacker Richarlison has recently been discussing his personal and collective goals for club and country.

Richarlison’s time at Everton

Richarlison has been plying his trade in England for nearly three years now.

After an impressive debut campaign with Watford back in 2017/18, the Brazilian was snapped up by Everton in the summer of 2018.

The Toffees are understood to have paid an initial £35m for Richarlison’s services with that fee potentially reaching £50m.

The América-MG youth product has since gone on to notch 70 appearances across all competitions for Everton.

But it is the current campaign where the 23-year-old has really begun to shine.

Across 27 Premier League ties this term, the versatile attacker, who has formed a formidable partnership with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, has netted 10 and provided three assists.

Richarlison’s ambitions

Both Richarlison’s and Everton’s form has improved significantly since decorated boss Carlo Ancelotti took the reins at the back end of 2019.

The Italian has, of course, won countless trophies with various teams across Europe.

And with Ancelotti at the helm, both Everton’s fans and players will no doubt be eyeing success in the coming years.

One player who certainly has high ambitions for his stint at Goodison Park, as mentioned above, is Richarlison.

Speaking in a recent interview, Richarlison stated he wants to take Everton back to a prominent position and win trophies whilst also cementing himself as one of the club’s greats:

“My goals are very clear in my head and they are interconnected.

“Since I arrived, I have always stated that I want to be victorious playing for Everton.

“I want to help take the club back to a prominent position and win trophies with Everton.

“I would love to achieve this goal and be remembered as a great player in the history of the club.”

Richarlison is also eyeing a place in a World Cup squad with Brazil, for whom he has made 19 appearances to date:

“Regarding individual and long-term goals, my great purpose is to continue to be called up by Brazil and gain more importance in the squad, then have the opportunity to play in a World Cup.

“For that to happen, I need to continue performing well and scoring goals for Everton.”
